Pole work to help produce an adjustable and rideable canter.

In association with MicroPerformance and Windrush Equestrian, Connie Copestake introduces her go to pole work to help produce an adjustable and rideable canter.

  • Place 2 canter poles on a 24-yard distance
  • Ride the poles in a straight line to establish the canter and how many strides there are between the poles
  • Adjust the number of strides between the poles by shortening and lengthening the canter
  • Helps to make the horse more rideable and more responsive to the aids
