A few months ago, MicroPerfomance+ was approached by Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony Charity, asking to donate some raffle prizes for their fund raising ball. Learning about Hannah and her brave battle with bone cancer, was truly touching.
She had ridden horses all her life, and had a dream to ride at the top of the sport. However, her dream was shattered when she was diagnosed with this terrible disease. Yet she decided to set up this charity in order to help other seriously ill people by giving them memorable equine experiences, as well as funding research into bone cancer.
Certain members of the MicoPerformance+ team had close encounters with cancer, so it was only fitting that we did our little bit to help.
Having received this letter from the charity recently, we are indeed very proud, and inspired by their success is raising money for worthy causes.
“Dear all at MiroPerformance+
We are writing to express our sincere thanks to you for supporting the raffle at our recent fund raising ball held on October 27th. The raffle was an outstanding success and we are beyond delighted with the £3,300 that it raised! Every penny of the money raised across the auction, raffle and Ball (all £35,000!!!) will help us to continue to fund bone cancer research and also support ‘Willberry’s Wishes’ which allows seriously ill people to have their equine related dream come true.
We are so extremely grateful to have your fabulous support; we could not do what we do without you. Events like this ball and raffle offer a wonderful opportunity for people to learn about Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony Charity and such thoughtfulness & generosity from people like you and other Willberry supporters is what gives us the drive to keep fighting against this truly awful disease.
Willberry has been doing an amazing job but still has such an enormous task ahead. Hannah had such drive to inspire people and give them the hope that we can beat cancer together, in the future, we WILL be #kickingcancersbutt with support like yours.
Hannah would have wanted to say the biggest of thank you to you too as she never ceased to be so very grateful and touched by everyone’s generosity and overwhelming support. We hope that between us all we can make her proud of her legacy Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony Charity and make a difference to many lives.
