Experienced Grand Prix Show Jumper and a member of the CSI 5* Nations Cup team. Twice winner of the National Ladies Championships and the National Speed Championships
“We have ten horses at home, with myself and Sharon running the yard. Sharon has been with us for 25 years and has herself, competed at Horse of the Year Show and Hickstead Royal International. The horses are very much treated as individuals as they all have their own personalities, quirks and needs and I feel it is important to treat them as such.”
Julie also enjoys teaching students and feels a great sense of pride seeing her pupils progress and achieve their goals. As well as national students, Julie also trains international students who base at her yard in Lancashire.
“It’s great to be a part of such an innovative brand and I’m wearing the gloves all the time now. The gloves are great, because they are light and thin. And the touch-tips on the end are brilliant. I regularly receive phone calls whilst I am riding and there’s nothing worse than having to take my gloves off, when I’m doing the horses, to answer my phone.”
“We use the saddle pads too. I love the stretchy straps which go on the D-ring as it offers a lot more movement. I don’t agree with putting anything on a horse that is restrictive. The anti-sweat, non-slip properties also make them a lot more comfortable for the horse, which is so important in our game.”
Italian International 4* Eventer, trained by Tim and Jonelle Price
“I’m a 27 year old event rider from Italy and moved to Marlborough four years ago to be with Eventing World Champions, Tim and Jonelle Price.
I own two horses here at Mere Farm. Euphorie is an eight year old mare, her stable name is Penny . Then there is Fabienne 507 who is seven, we call her Fabi. Both are fantastic mares and I have high hopes for their future. I will be expanding my string in the near future too.
We are competing all around the UK and Europe and if all goes to plan, I will be competing 4* on Penny later this season. The highlight of my career so far is producing my two mares from five year olds to 3* and 4* eventers.
I started riding with my cousin when I was 16 and then started eventing with Francesco Girarsi. So I was a relative latecomer to the sport. I love the adrenaline you get from eventing, it’s awesome. Because of this, I would say my horses and I enjoy the cross country phase the most. I have huge respect for my horses and all event horses too.
They are amazing animals to put their trust in their rider as they do.
I approached MicroPerformance because I wanted to be a part of a brand that offered great quality products for myself and my horses, so we could perform at our very best, in all conditions. My horses mean so much to me, so it’s important they get the best of everything and that is definitely supported by MP+.
Young, talented and ambitious, Noor Slaoui has been representing Morocco as a 3 Day Event Rider at 3* level
“I am a Moroccan event rider based in Oxfordshire. My passion for equestrian sports began in my early childhood in Casablanca, Morocco. Aged 18, I headed to Saumur, France and spent a year studying at the Cadre Noir de Saumur where I gained a degree of International Riding Instructors.”
After that, I moved to the UK to study Politics and International relations at Warwick University. I ended up spending most of my time working with horses and soon caught the eventing bug.
“Once I graduated, I started to ride full time and worked my way up from BE90 to 3*. Thanks to the support of my Federation, Sponsors and Owners, I was able to build a strong team of horses and compete throughout Europe. I am hoping to represent my nation at the Next World Championships and Paris 2024 Olympics.”
Unlike a lot of riders I only started eventing fairly late. I had never heard of it back home and it was only during my third year studying at University, that I decided to give it a go.
Fast forward a couple of years I am now the only rider to represent Morocco in eventing at the International Level which is a great privilege and also the highlight of my career so far.
I love every aspect of it from training the horses of all ages to become successful triathletes to leaving the xc startbox full of adrenaline and excitement.
I am thrilled to be partnering with MicroPerformance, because they apply such great attention to detail, in all their products. I love the design and the quality exceeds most on the market.”

Awarded the Show Jumping Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE) for talented young riders with the BSJA
“I have been riding for around 15 years, previously studying at Hartpury college before working for Tim Stockdale where I was lucky enough to work with some of the best trainers and learn invaluable lessons on how to make it at the top of the sport. I have set up on my own for 3 years, where I produce and compete young horses from jumping round British novice to international 2* Grand Prix.
I am so lucky to have a great team with lovely horses who are regularly being placed at the biggest shows including nearly every national and international age class we jump! I aim to produce these horses for myself to compete to highest level or to be sold on and competed under top names!
I am very proud to be able to work alongside MicroPerformance+; being a young rider from not a horsey background it is sometimes hard to get the support and know what is best. However with all of MicroPerformance’s equestrian products it is clear to see that they are of the highest quality and made with the horse and riders welfare in mind. This means due of their cutting edge micro technology my horses and I can now have that winning edge to put us ahead of the rest!”

Competing at pony trials and 1* with ambitions to compete at 4*
“I have competed at the Pony Club championships each year since 2015 in the dressage, showjumping and eventing classes at novice, intermediate and open level, and placed in each discipline.
I have also competed at the NSEA championships consecutively since 2014 in many showjumping and JWS classes, being placed in each.
So far, 2018 season has consisted of two wins on both Ech Na Sliabh and Little George, as well as being selected to represent the Central region at the U18 championships on Ech Na Sliabh.
In 2017 I competed at pony trials and 1* with my pony Ech Na Sliabh (Steve), and was placed 9th at the British Pony Championships held at Brand Hall as well as being part of the wining team. We then went on to compete in France at Haras Du Pin in the CIC*P coming 10th and part of the winning team.
I’m looking forward to working with MicroPerformance+ and using their cutting edge technology for myself, and on the horses to keep us both comfortable and looking smart. The technical side to the saddle pads enables the horses to stay cool and perform at their best.”
Talented member of the Junior Dressage team for Great Britain based in OXFORDSHIRE
“I first started riding when I was 4 and used to just love ‘hacking out’. My passion for competition really took off when I was 11 with a hat-trick at the children and thanes championships, prelim & novice, on my little 12 hand pony Maggie Mae. Initially I had the bug for both eventing and dressage. I had some great fun eventing on a gorgeous coloured 14 hand pony called Danny. When I was 13 we competed at BE100, before realising I really loved the power and control of dressage.”
“It is in moving up to juniors with my Danish warm blood Lady Gaga that I have begun to enjoy some successes I had only dreamed of. My new partner in crime, aka Millie, also made her FEI international debut at Keysoe in 2018. We have been growing together as a combination ever since, culminating in selection for the European championship at Fontainebleau in our first full international season. Nothing beats the experience of representing Great Britain in a team environment at such a prestigious event. I loved supporting my teammates and they played a huge part helping me to a PB in the most intensely competitive arena.”
Looking forward to the new season, Jessica explains: “I am really excited to have started bringing on future prospect 6 year old Classic Nona with my trainer Gareth Hughes. While with Millie we have picked up where we left off last year. We have followed a first international victory at Waregem with another PB at Aachen. It’s still early in the season but we are working really hard towards going even further, if selected, in this year’s European championships in Italy.”
“I am looking forward to working with MP+, and by using some of their engineered products, I am sure we can push on and benefit from the unique feature that they offer in order to enhance our performances.

On MicroPerformance+ Lite Contact Gloves
“The gloves fit like a second skin with excellent grip. They are beautiful to wear because they remain in place and provide the same feedback that you would receive without gloves.”

On MP+ Lite Contact gloves
“Since using the MicroPerformance gloves my reins will never slip in the rain again. They are water resistant, super grippy & light weight. They are amazing value for money! I won’t ride in any other brand of gloves again”
On MP+ Saddle Pads
“The MicroPerformance saddle pads are super light weight & sit under the saddle perfectly & don’t move while riding. They are great in hot weather due to the material of the pads. My horses form no sweat underneath their saddle anymore. Highly recommended”
Young International Showjumper, currently competing at CSI2* ranking class and CSIOY/u25 level.
Zoe is a HorseScout Advocate.
On MP+ Lite Contact gloves
“The MicroPerformance gloves have never failed to give me grip on the reins in the wet and whilst riding sweaty horses. They keep my hands cool as they are so light and breathable! Highly recommend”
On MP+ Saddle Pads
“The micro performance pads have reduced the hair being rubbed away under the saddles, due to them being suitably padded. I now don’t use a fluffy half pad which allows my saddles to fit they way they were intended which benefits both the rider and the horse. Above all they look smart and are high quality and I highly recommend them!”
